I have seen some posts that some girls still give money to the Matr'd after the gratuity is included in the price.
Our gratutiy was over $1,000. We are having 163. I don't give him $2-3 per head then right? Is $100 okay? Or do I give more?
What would you do/did you do?

Re: Gratuity for RH?
For my RH the maitre'd is not included in the service charge. I don't think a lot of places include it. Most brides tip the maitre'd and bridal attendent seperately. I think the standard is $3-$5pp for maitre'd and the bridal attendant is about $150.00 but you also want to tip based on service. So if you feel that they have gone above and beyond, you might want to give more.
There is a thread about tipping. It breaks down the tips for each vendor. Try to search it. I'll look and see if i can bump it for you.

Well that's great if it's included. It's really one less thing you have to worry about. If the maitre'd does a really great job then you can give him a little extra if you choose.

Re: Gratuity for RH?
Thats great that your hall includes the matr'd fee. My hall like most others dont include that in the gratuity. I was told I had to give $2-3 per person before the reception starts for the matr'd. I think whatever you decide to give after that is totally up to you and depends on how you think his service was. A lot of brides often feel that their bridal attendant is usually the one that deserves the extra tip rather then the matr'd. Thats just what I have heard from other brides..hth!

Re: Gratuity for RH?
Your Rh charges a 23-26% gratuity fee, so perhaps that does include the maitre d fee, and you should not feel obligated to give extra, unless they do an outstanding job
