Gratuity Included Question...

Gratuity Included Question...

When I went to sign my contract for our RH it stated close to 2850 for gratuity, which I am assuming that is all I am going to tip that night? right?? If they are including it in the contract this should mean that it is covering everyone, bartenders, waitstaff, valet, bathroom attendants, bridal attendant, maitr'd....am I ok for thinking this of do i have to assume that I am going to tip again?! I feel like that amount is sufficient to cover everyone...

Ordinarily, the gratuity that is included in your contract is for the waitstaff and bar staff, etc....it usually does not include your maitre'd, who you tip the night of depending on their service, performance and how helpful they were.

YES def. ask ?s if you're not sure of something in your contract. You dont want any surprises at the end

You should definitely ask them. This is very much RH specific. Most of the time the tip does not include the MD and bridal attendent and includes everyone else

i am also getting married at bridgeview. the gratuity is separate from the maitre'd fee (his tip) which are both included in the contract and are paid before the wedding day.

Maitre D' usually is a separate tip. Regarding Valet you should ask if that is a separate costs. On our contract it was listed separately as a cost hence I would think that the tip would be separate as well.

Ask. I need to tip maitre d, bridal attendant, chefs, and bartenders (unless I let them leave a tip jar out).

Me too! Gratuity is always or at least usually included in the contract. BYC also includes a $2 pp maiter'd fee. The only person you should tip that night at the RH is the bridal attendant (who I hear is amazing) and if you feel the maiter'd went above and beyond. I may throw him an extra $100. But I would double check just in case...

Ok perfect, I agree with you, the bridal attendant is the only one I can see tipping after gratuity being included all ready. Have you heard good things about the attendant?!
