Re: GRATUITY QUESTIONS...
I don't think it's wrong to tell them that you'll tip them when you get your proofs. I would imagine that makes sense.

Re: GRATUITY QUESTIONS...
Yeah, but how can you tip them if you don't even know how their work came out?

Re: GRATUITY QUESTIONS...
We tipped the photographer at our casual day shoot and tipped the 2 photographers and videographer the night of, but we were SO pleased with them all day I wouldn't have wanted them to wait.

Ok, I'll be honest, it makes sense to me to not tip the photographer and videographer the day of the wedding....BUT...I am also the kind of person who tips even when I get bad service because I 'feel bad not' doing it So chances are my photographer AND videographer will get double tipped from me.

Re: GRATUITY QUESTIONS...
You are tipping them for the 'great' service they provided to you the day/night of your wedding. You are paying for your proofs.
If they are great, tip them well for their great service the night the provided it to you.
If they were terrible, tip them accordingly.
But IMO I htink you should tip the night of the wedding. Its like if you went to dinner and told the waitress you'd be back next week to tip her. LOL

Well, not really. It would be like if you ordered dinner and tipped her for taking your order, but had to come back weeks later for her to serve you your meal

Re: GRATUITY QUESTIONS...
Tip when you pick up your final item from them...not before. This way you know exactly how you feel about everything and won't regret over or under tipping. In my opinion, tips are given at the end of a job well done. Not before or in the middle of a project.
JMHO!

We tipped the day of but since we were SOOO happy with some of our vendors, we will be tipping additional amounts when we pick up our final product.
