Great date night idea!
I wrote a whole extensive post and review and then LIW ate it, so here's a short and sweet version.
Last night for our 5 year dating anniversary I took FH out to see I Love, You're Perfect, Now Change! and Off-Broadway show playing and the westside theatre.
The show doesn't really have a plot, it's more a series of little scenes about the different stages of a relationship from the first date to the first fight through the wedding, marriage, married sex, children, etc. I have to tell you that I laughed until I cried. I didn't stop laughing the whole night! It was so funny and so easy to relate to. FH and I both really loved it. I think it's a great show to go see at this stage in the game , when you're stressed and tired with money, work, school, wedding plans, etc. It really helps you to laugh at yourselves and the quirks you have and the arguments and the challenges along the way. FH and I have been way stressed lately, me with trying to finish school and work , and hm havng just graduated tryingto fin a job, get into a new apartment, etc, and we haven't had time for us. We've been getting into arguments without having those really sweet and wonderrful moments together. Well, after the show, we made out on the train on the way home like a couple of teenagers. Gross I know, but totally cute. It was really amazing at lifting our spirits. I think we needed to laugh and laugh at ourselves, all the little things we make so big, and to realize, hey, we're not the only ones going through this!
Well, I really recommend it! Even for a bach party, because it'll make you really glad you're not single, going through all of that nonsense, and it'll help you laugh at all of the fears and challenges you face as a couple.
With coupon coeds you can get $45 tixx any dya but saturday. Tuesday nights they have free champagne and a special guest. Last night it was the editor of Bride's maagzine and she actually sat next to me during the show!
Also, 43 couples have gotten engaged AT the show, so you know it's good!
Just thought I'd share!
