Great deals at Fortunoff Clearance-UPDATE

Fh and I got a glass table and 8 chairs for the backyard for $228 (that's including tax) today It's 84x42

Anna: It was the clearance center on Zeckendorf Blvd. We went to Fortunoff's (the actual store) today and they had some stuff, but not as much as the clearance center.

Diane: All we saw were indoor bar sets.

Update: We went to go pick up the table yesterday and had a problem They said we had bought the floor sample. Which we didn't. We WOULD HAVE bought the floor sample, if they would've sold it to us b/c we wanted a rectangular table vs the oval one that we got. (It's the same siz, we just wanted the rectangular one). But the salesman said they weren't selling it, but that a new order was coming in. So he said we couold go pick up the NEW table and chairs this weekend. So when we went yesterday they asked us why we hadn't picked up the floor sample already. So FH who is usually VERY clam flipped Finally after 15mins of going back and forth, they bring us our table and chairs. WELL, today we open the table and it's the WRONG freaking color The chairs are fine. So I called them and spoke to the manager and he apologized but said that they didn't have the color we ordered and that he'd if we wanted we could return the set and get our money back. We decided not to b/c we got such a great deal. Plus, the set still looks nice even though they're not the same color. The chairs are darker than the table.

So my point is, if you buy from there TRIPLE check everything. Some of the salespeople there are clueless

we had problems with them as well. they did not deliver the weighted umbrella stand with the rest of the order. it took 3 weeks for them to deliver it & we got a floor sample as well.

i'm surprised fortunoff's is run this way. i never would've anticipated any problems with a store like that.

Marcela-sorry about what happend to you...sometimes you have to double and triple check. it's annoying but whattya gonna do. Do you have a pic???

I had problems with Fortunoff the regular store! They had to redeliver my cocktail table 3 times (they brought us damaged ones) so after letters & calls, I finally gor them to get it right!

Well my brother is a manager at Fortunoff ... so I don't appreciate the 'dumbass' comment.

I'm sorry that you are annoyed, but appartently there was a miscommunication somewhere. Unfortunatley, at every store, at some point, someone is going to have a problem.

Well if you read my post you can see I said nothing bad about the manager. It was the salesman that did everything wrong. He wrote the whole receipt wrong and gave us the wrong table. The manager was actually very nice and offerred to refund us our money, as you can see from what I wrote above.

I edited the above post. I really didn't mean to offend anyone and I aplogize.

I'm really sorry that you had a bad experience there. I'm glad to hear that the manager was helpful ... !
