Great flower shop and favor place!!!!!

I just wanted to share my really good experience with both the flower shop and favor place I recently booked. The flower shop is Flower after Flower in Massapequa, the person there Christine was really nice and went over everything with me, even stuff I did not think of. There price was less than the two other flower places I went to. It is definately worth a try. The favor place is World Class Stationery and Giftware in New Hyde Park - I have searcher for the least expensive price and they we $1.00 less then everyone, plus there prices include wrap, ribbon and almonds. I know I have been crazy with getting everything ready this site has really help me, so I thouht I would help out where I can

Wow, you're getting close :)!! I just started looking at florists and favors, so I can use the tips, what other florists did you go to?? What kind of favors did you get and (if you don't mind) how much were they?? Thanks!

Close is not the word, I am starting to go crazy. We planned this whole thing in 7-1/2 months and it has been wild, but fun. The other florist that I went to were Spitz and Peck, they were good, but way to expensive for our budget. I also went to Burtons, I know a lot of girls like that place, but if you really look at what you are getting for the money, it is not that great at all. A lot of the arrangements are filled with more greenery than flowers, like just a lot of fluff. The wedding favors we are using are wine stoppers. They are silver in color (not real silver!) and have an abstract heart on the top. We paid about $3.25 for each and that included wrapping, ribbon with our names and date of the wedding and also almonds. I swear I shopped around for them and they are the cheapest.

for the florist?? I went to Spitz and Peck and James Cress yesterday . They were both so pricey, but I guess reputable and I'm guessing I would not be disappointed. I understand about knowing what you're getting for the money but I feel like you can't tell anything about what arrangements (or anything else for that matter) will turn out like on the day of. I'm so confused!! My engagement is short too, only 6 months (June wedding), but since it's small, it's not too overwhelming yet and I am having lots of fun!! So, I know how you must be feeling. Hi Flower after Flower actally showed me what I would be getting, Christine made an arrangement of the center piece for me, I took and picture and know that is what I will be getting the day of the wedding. Hi For the center pieces we are going really simple and they are $50 each - we have 16 tables so that really adds up. For my bouquet it has a dozen roses and then a bunch of other flowers Christine went over with me, everything was written down. My bouquet is $110. The BM bouquets will have 6 roses and a bunch of colorful flowers, they are $75 each. Christine really works with you and tells you what flowers are in season so instead of spending lots of money on flowers that are out of season. You really save a lot of money using flowers in season. Plus she tells you what flowers look like other and are less expensive.
