Great Idea- that I thought I would pass along..

So- I got my invites yesterday and then it hit me-- my response cards are dark brown, how the hell am I going to put a slight number on the back of them with a pencil..

So, my mom suggested getting a invisible marker, then a small black light so I can see it, but no one else can..

I found a small black light key chain here..

they have markers too- this may not be a fine enough point, but, the markers are easier to find that a small and cheap black light..

I thought this can work- no matter what color your response cards are.

Oh. I love it. It brings me back to my 'secret decoder inside the cereal box' days! How fun! I wish I had thought of it in time. I went the pencil route.

That is a fabulous idea!!

I got a lot of ribbing for the numbers on my e-party invites...my uncle (my godfather) felt his number should have been lower than my aunt's (his younger sister) who I inadvertantly put ahead of him! It was all joking and in good fun but now I can avoid anymore jokes at my expense!!

You know what! THANK YOU! I did not even think of that when I designed my invites! They are on a black card backing! Hmmmm, think I will need to invest in this!

Okay, so I'm a complete idiot. Why do you number your invites? Is it to put it on a list and keep a better tally of responses?

You number your response cards (not your invites) in case someone responds, but forgets to write their name in (it does happen) you know who it is.

Yup. It actually turned out to be a Godsend for our e-party b/c a few older ppl forgot to even write in their names and we could easily track those that had't responded yet.
