FH just got a letter from his insurance company. They are dropping him as of 10/9 b/c his income is higher than whats allowed. Since he doesn't work F/T he was using Family Health Plus. I have no idea how to get him insurance, he cant go on mine until we are married.
Theres always something.......
Anyone have any suggestions??
TIA
Sorry for the vent. He's so upset and I don't know what to do.
Is he not able to open his own policy? The only other things I can think of is if you two get married by law earlier than antisipating or if you get the title to his vehicle....
You must be living with someone (sharing address) for a minimum of 12 before they can be considered a Domestic Partner.

Re: Great, just great....
most insurance companies like hipp and GHI offer palns there just really expensvie i was quoted 600 amonth but eventually i contact a brooker and he got me insurance and pretty good one for about 230 a month but i think the reason it was so cheap is because i am considrerd 'self employed'

Definitely find out about domestic partnership. I was only living with FH 3 years and I was able to get full coverage thru him.

You can either 1) get married legally before your wedding and his effective end date of his insurance 2) call brokers and see what they have to offer...if Fh dosent have any health issues you dont need great coverage

I had a coworker get her bf on her insurance through domestic partnership and they didn't live together but i'm not sure how she did it. Maybe if he has any mail coming to your home to show residence or any shared bank account documents...?

Not every company offers domestic partnership. I would go through a broker. I used to do Cobra but you have to do it through a past employer -- it is expensive too I used pay over $600 a month for it.
