GREAT NEWS!!!!!!!

My boss called me into his office earlier today to tell me that someone in our department is leaving the firm and offered me the job. The position calls for a VERY nice raise and bonus AND a promotion to Assistant Vice President. I'm SOOOO excited. This couldn't come at a better time.

I start training on Monday. I don't know how much time I'm going to have on LIWeddings now but I'll try and check in every now and then. YIPPEE!!!!

It's funny because when he asked to see me, at first I thought ('oh no'). I thought it was going to be bad news like the company is downsizing or that one of my clients called with a complaint or that I missed a deadline. Completely threw me for a loop. I'm walking on a cloud right now (since the raises and bonuses have been either crappy or non-existent for the past few years). I was promoted 2 years ago but the firm complained they had no money after 9/11 so I ended up getting a promotion with no compensation increase.
