great start to the morning. . .

So, about a mile from work, I hit a patch of ice and rear ended somebody. Luckily, the damage to her car and my car was minimal, but enough to warrant police involvement.

Sigh. . .it's only 8:10 am. . .

At least nobody got hurt! The girl's dad was a bit of a d*ck to me, which I can understand because his daughter's car got hit, but still.

Yay $500 deductible that could have been used towards the flowers or something wedding-related. . .guess I'm going to have to work that much more. . .sigh.

At least I can hear them getting ready to hear Obama speak for the first time as president in the auditorium next door!!!

I am feeling much better. . .now that FH and I had some time to talk about it. (Yeah, I totally took out my frustration over the accident on him. But he totally provoked me by saying, 'You shouldn't NEED me for something like this!! You're physically okay, your car is okay, I wouldn't need you for something like this. . .' Oh, yeah. That totally flew me over the coop.)

One of my BMs and I want to put money on the fact that this girl's father tries to claim that his daughter's car (the one I rearended) is totalled. He was all like, WE'RE NOT PAYING A CENT! YOU BETTER HAVE INSURANCE!!! to me. what a douchebag!!!! (I hate that word, but that totally describes him) Yes, the bumper is cracked and there's a hole in it where I hit her car, but it's TOTALLY drivable. They drove away in the damned car!!

What an A$$. If that was me I would have went off on him. Does he not know what the word accident means? Sorry you didn't have special vision to see the black ice. Since he made such a fuss, I wonder if SHE doesn't have insurance.
