The prices look about right for 2003 b/c those were the sale dates that came up on the area I searched - now they would be a little more.

my mom is a real estate agent and those sound just about right especially for 2003..they are probably much more now..doesn't it suck

I plugged in my dad's address and the prices (all 2004) seemed average (one was in the $200G range which was good to see and it is in Lynbrook too). But it really depends on the lot, quality of house, etc to determine if a 'good price' or not.

ETA: I redid the search using my own address. I think the prices are ridiculous - $400G for some of them. Let me tell you there is NO front or backyards to alot of the homes in my neighborhood - most of them have apartments and that's why they cost so much I think. I would never buy a house in my area for $400G - because eventually the houses will go down in price and no matter if you have a tenant or not you'll lose value on it.

I plugged in my address and although I am not listed there the prices listed for my neighborhood definitely seem accurate. mynassauproperty.com has the selling price and that is right. I used that a lot when decided what to offer for my house being my real estate agent was useless with the comps.

I plugged in my address and although I am not listed there the prices listed for my neighborhood definitely seem accurate. mynassauproperty.com has the selling price and that is right. I used that a lot when decided what to offer for my house being my real estate agent was useless with the comps.

I said NO WAY, I grew up in New Hyde Park, and you can't find a house for less than 399K, now if last year, I could get something for 200K, then I'm seriously depressed, cause I missed out!!

For my house, my in laws, and my parents...they were all about 20-50K less then what they go for now...
You have to expect that for 2003 sales numbers
i think it's a good way to estimate if you're looking into a house in the area. Remember lot size and extras will also drive the price up.

For my parents house, they prices are way off....they are too low, even though they are showing prices from 2003, they are still off. For our house, the prices are low too, even though the prices were 2003.

How do you get the selling price on mynassauproperty.com?

As far as this website goes my recent purchase did not come up and the comps seemed about 20,000 lower then what the appraiser had for our area.
