Hi i was wondering if anyone has gone on their honeymoon in Greece.... this i my dream location... i want to go to Santorini, Mykonos, and Athens.... ive heard its really expensive and after all said and done most people have spent like 10,000.... has anyone done this for less or know a way we can cut costs to make it more affordable?? TIA
We're doing a Mediterranean cruise with stops in Athens, Mykonos and Santorini.
Definitely the way to do Greece and those locations is a cruise. We were seriously looking into Greece before realizing we really couldn't afford it. A cruise would have been perfect but there were no good cruises that left within the week after our wedding. When we looked into going by land and hopping from Athens to Mykonos to Santorini, it would have run upwards of $12-14,000, plus food, entertainment, etc. Of course there were ways to make it work if we had stayed at worse hotels, but we didn't want to do that. The flight alone to Greece, plus the little flights in between, were going to cost more than $3,000. If you find a cruise that works for you definitely do that.
