hello ladies, im getting married may 17 209 and we really would love to go to greece. im not sure of the weather. i want island weather to tan but wherver i look its 77 but i wasnt sure. thanks

I went to Greece last May (5/14-end of may) and I wasn't overly happy with the weather.
Mykonos was hot. (I remember walking around in a tank and a skirt and getting a nice tan!)
Santorini was rainy and cold. The locals said that its never like that. I only saw the sun 1 day.. and when it finally came out.. it was warm! (although not warm enough for me to want to go swimming).
Crete was average. I'd say upper 70s and sunny.
and Athens. it rained. again. non-stop.
All in all, we had a little bit of everything weather-wise but everyone we spoke to said that the rain was very unusual. I would definately go back again during that time b/c it wasn't crazy busy with tourists, and it was warm enough to sightsee in shorts and the evenings were warm enough to wear cute dresses.

that is what i hear and see on the internet =( i guess may wont be for our honeymoon. i want tanning hot weather to relax so i guess hawaii it is for us and greece will hopefully be another time =) thank you soo much

May is a little iffy in Greece. The sun is usually out and shining, but the weather is definitely not Hot Hot like in July and August. You can lay out on the beach, but the water is still really cold in May. Let me know if I can help, I go pretty often.

So April and May weather in Greece is pretty much like it is here, Spring temperatures? I don't like the hot weather, but I don't want to go when it's like 40-50, would prefer 60-80.

I was thinking Greece island hopping in May as well. So I guess if you dont want to lay out and go swimming then it should be perfect strolling weather. I am more of a site see-er then a beach person anyway.

Ohh, then this stinks for us- if we DO go to Italy and Greece on a cruise- it will be in April. I could only imagine April being much worse than it is in May.
