Do you know what their policy is on getting married there if both people are not greek orthodox? If the man is GO and the woman is not religious do they have an issue with that? Are some GO Churchs more leniant then others? Also, by not religious I mean they have never been baptized or anything but the man is.. Any info would really be appreciated. TY!!!

Re: Greek Brides/St. Nicks in Flushing
In order to be married in any Greek-Orthodox church, the bride, groom and koumbaro (or koumbara) MUST be baptized (could be Catholic or Protestant, it's ok). All 3 of those individuals mentioned above have to show their baptismal certificate in order for any of the paperwork to proceed. I don't think there are any exceptions to this rule.

As long as the groom is baptized Greek-Orthodox, then the bride can be baptized in any religion. So, if you're not already baptized, you will need to be baptized somewhere. If you don't already belong to a religion, then you might as well be baptized Greek-Orthodox.
