If there is anyone out there that is going to greece on their honeymoon, I need help with a flight!!! Olympic Airlines seems nasty and Delta is more expensive. What do I do and how do I go about purchasing insurance, is there anything I need to know?

Re: greek honeymoon
I'm going to Greece (if financials work out) but am flying continental. Have you looked at going through a travel agent with a package - sometimes that comes with insurance or american express vacations or something. Are you planning on doing flights separate and then book ground stuff? Oh and there are a lot of insurance places on line that will do everything from trip to medical - it's not that expensive. .. I know I have used a few before but can't remember names. . you can just search for travel insurance.. .

Re: greek honeymoon
I booked the hotels through a travel agent and still have to book flights myself. Since I have amex points I am going to use those and save $400 or more. Maybe we should just go Delta, there aren't any continental flights that are direct :(

Re: greek honeymoon
We flew Olympic when we went to Greece. It really wasn't all that bad.
Also be aware of the fact that if you're flying in between Greek Islands, you will definitely be flying Olympic....

Re: greek honeymoon
My family has been flying to and from Greece for the past 35 years, and we've tried virtually every airline out there. The verdict is that there's really no one ailrine that's better than any other. The service on Delta is just as good (or just as bad) as that on Olympic. The seats on Virgin Atlnatic are smaller and more cramped than on Olympic. Luftansa's landings are crappy. The food on British Airways is not much better than any other airline food.
My suggestion is to go with the cheapest airfare.

Re: greek honeymoon
We're going for our honeymoon and flying Olympic since it's direct. Booked it online. Booked all our hotels directly as well (using trip advisor to find good places to stay.)
