My sis and I and a few 'old girlfriends' are going out to dinner this weekend, in Queens. We chose Bayside because I'll be dropping JA off to visit his grandma
I cant think of any GOOD Greek restaurants? Anyone? or even Middle Eastern?
there are a TON of great Irish restaurants in Bayside...Sullivans being my favorite...
First Edition is a fun place to hang out with the girls...in the bar downstairs...
I've never been - but here is a greek restaurant on Bell
LATERNA GREEK TAVERNA 4720 Bell Blvd Bayside NY Phone: 718 423-1245

I think all bars are smoke free now?
Laterna is very good..went to a christening there. There is also Mythos on Northern Blvd near Franny Lew.
As for Irish, I love Donovans and Monohan and Fitzgeralds..wonderful atmosphere and even better food!!!!

Re: Greek restaurants in Bayside???
Between the 2 greek ones, does one have easier parking? Im assuming the one on Bell will be a disaster to find parking right?

Re: Greek restaurants in Bayside???
Mythos on Northern Blvd. (near Francis Lewis) is good! I'm pretty sure they have valet parking.
Donovan's off of Bell is great for burgers.
Uncle Jack's is good but pretty expensive for steaks.
If you can get past the cheesy decor, Pier 25 on Northern (east of Bell, by the police precinct) for good Greek, excellent seafood.
Leave room for pastries from the pastry shop on Bell!!
ETA: sorry for babbling on, Anna. I just realized you were asking about Greek restaurants. I just got so excited reminiscing about the old neighborhood...

This one is really good! I think we're having our rehearsal dinner there.
ETA: Laterna has parking in the back. Don't know about Mythos.

Re: Greek restaurants in Bayside???
Laterna has a lot in the side street and Mythos has a lot next to the store as well... so you are fine with either as far as parking goes.
They are both great restaurants.
Bell is not too bad where laterna is - it's on the other side of northern, not where the bars are.
Mythos on Northern, on the block west of Frannie Lou Blvd.

Kati Allo - it is amazing! Small, quaint, and really good food. It's off Francis Lewis...29-06 172nd Street. We eat there a lot or order in.
