Hi I thought maybe you guys might have a solution to my problem. I have a 70th birthday party at John Anthony's memorial day weekend. I am looking forward to going back to JA. I was there in April for a wedding and can't wait to go back. My problem is this.......I do not want to give cash as a gift. I was thinking of a gift certificate to a resturant. Do any of you know of good resturants in the Huntington/Greenlawn area? Or maybe another idea..........(I am clueless).

If you can't think of anything this person needs, aside from the restaurant gift certificate idea which is a good one, how about making a donation to somewhere in his name and letting him know, maybe if he has a charity he is involved in or something?

What sort of restaurant are you looking for? There are TONS in the Huntington area. I'd recommend Ruvos in Greenlawn which I think is excellent. I have also heard that Red in Huntington Village is great but I haven't gotten a chance to try it yet. If they like Japanese food Kura Barn is really good too (on 110 heading south just outside the village). If they like Mexican Viva Juans on 25A in Huntington/Centerport is a really good restaurant too but a little more casual. I hope this helps!

How about...
Doing a few smaller gift certificates to places that a 70 year old would enjoy like Borders, a restaurant and movie tickets...then you could put them all in a basket or gift bag...

The party is on Sunday night. JA is wonderful. You will love it.
