Ok....Dh and I found a really nice house in Greenlawn the other day but I'm still very undecided about whether or not to make an offer considering I don't know much about the area. The house is in the Elwwod School District and is located South of Pulaski Road, East of Broadway, West of Manor Road between Cuba Hill Road and Little Plains road but closer to Cuba Hill road. (I used map quest to be more specific). Anyone familiar with this area? Honest opinions please.

if it's the area i'm thinking of, it is nice. quiet, lots of property. i used to babysit over there and the houses where i was were HUGE!!! take a drive by!

exactly.
I used to work right there, and I'd cut through the back streets to get to work if there was an accident on a main road. It's very nice, very similar to the place where I grew up.
The Northern State parkway isn't too far from there either, for commuting purposes.

If I'm thinking of the right area, it's a little scetchy - and I only say that for the reason that they just recently (within the last few years) built really nice homes over there but they are pretty close to the not-so-great area. For me, its a little too close. But take a drive by.

sketchy i think a bit more north of jericho. but my friend is selling a large house there though it may be sold already, it's pretty big and now many of the neighbors are re-doing their home too...
