I want to be able to dance a lot at my wedding, so is it ok or wrong to thank everyone individually for coming as they exit our ceremony space and then greet each table as a whole at the reception so that we dont have to greet them all individually again? During cocktail hour we will be having pics taken. And everything takes place at the venue.

greeting your guests
Oh thats my plan and if I get 'stuck' at any one table for too long I'm just going to lead them out to the dance floor!

Yeah I pretty much plan to greet people ASAP so I can dance the night away! Haven't figured out the exact logistics yet, but I will be dancing!!

I'm going to try to make my way to the groups during cocktail hour (after I get all the good food)

I think that's called a bee line and that's making a comeback..from what I have read greeting guest with a bee line is how they use to do it back in the day..
