Does anyone know a good grocery store in the Franklin Square/Stewart Manor/western Garden City area?
I go to Pathmark on Franklin Ave...but no matter what time I go there, it is crazy packed...I need a new store that doesn't drive me insane.

AH! I go to that pathmark also and its always a ZOO!!!!!!!!!!
I don't go there anymore....we went to stop n shop yesterday on Hempstead Tpke and totally found everything overpriced. We tried the little supermarket in the cherry valley shopping center on hempstead tpke and its really clean (forgot the name).
If you have any recs for a small fruit/produce store, PLEASE let me know. We had 8 apples in a bag from stop n shop and it was $7.95.......needless to say we didn't buy them!

Why is it so complicated to buy food around here! Every time I go to Pathmark, I almost get run over by at least a handful of wagons.
If I find anything--fruit/produce store or another good grocery store, I will def let you know!

Stop and Shop on Hillside in New Hyde Park is good. Also, King Kullen on Jericho Turnpike I find to never be THAT packed. We do pea pod bc we're in an apartment building in flushing but I grew up in Floral Park.

Seriously this area is soo annoying
I mainly stick with stop & shop, but its only because its 2 blocks away from our house. Sometimes I will go to the King Kullen on New Hyde Park Rd, I rarely will go to the Pathmark that you go to, and sometimes I will venture to the Waldbaums on Jericho

I really like the KeyFood on Covert - the produce is good, but the meat selection isn't great.

The West Hempstead Stop and Shop is good. It has its own parking lot so it's not crazy
