Groom and Groomsmen shirts

My dress is ivory. Should the groom's shirt be ivory not white? What about the groom's party? Thanks

The girl who helped us pick out our tuxedos said if you are wearing Ivory.. the guys wear ivory shirts and if you wear white.. the guys wear white...

She showed me the difference in the shirts and the ivory looks white when it's paired with the tuxedo... it's next to your dress where the color would stand out and why it should match what you are wearing!!

When you get tuxes they are usually very helpful with things like that!

My dress is ivory so my FH's vest and tie are ivory. The girl there said the ivory shirt doesn't look right, so FH's wearing a white shirt. The guys are wearing white shirts with silver vest and ties.

I am so confused :) I also didn't think of this until now, and I know one groomsmen already got a suit, so I'd feel bad telling him to get a different shirt...
