I never heard of this before till a friend mentioned it. Are we supposed to give a wedding day gift to our future husbands and vice versa?

some people do but not mandated. . my DH gave me a bracelet that matched my DOJ and I gave him b-pics and skydiving lessons but I gave him the stuff before. . he surprised me day of with a card/box. . . I wasnt expecting it b/c he already bought me my necklace for DOJ! but he's super sweet - I think it's a personal thing
I think a card is just as nice

You can...I was given a gift to give him, a Tiffany money clip, so I am just getting it engraved. I am not expecting a gift in return, because honestly FH doesn't know any better and it would be extremely tacky of me to be the one to inform him.

You don't have to. It's totally up to you. I wasn't going to get FH a gift but then I decided to do b-pics and I figured I would give it to him as a wedding gift.
