Groom's Shirt Color

My wedding dress is a light ivory and I'm afraid if my groom wears a stark white shirt, it may clash. I don't want him to wear an ivory shirt because that may look washed out. Is anyone else having this fear or am I over thinking this?

Every tux place I went to the first thing they asked me was my dress color. They told me bc it's ivory they have to wear ivory shirts. If they wear white b your dress will look dirty!!

Yes, we went to Forresto's in Mineola, and they also asked me what color my dress is. Since it's Ivory, they said FH should wear 'Diamond White' which is ivory.

But what I'm stuck on is that they said he should wear an ivory shirt, vest and tie to match me, and I'm not sure I like all of that ivory.

Who thought picking out a tux would be so difficult?

My fh wanted black so the groomsmen are wearing ivory shirt, teal vest black tie and he is gonna be in the opposite ivory shirt, teal tie black vest. I requested he wear the teal tie bc I'm going to have a teal belt. Plus we aren't very traditional so that whole all ivory thing wouldn't fly with us.
I found my self trying to make decisions on my own. I went to sals tuxedos in Massapequa abs the guy was so helpful. He was like don't try to visualize in your head let me show you. He dressed a dummy in the tux, vest and tie we were looking at and held held my bm dress next to it and I was like oh ok I c it now! Let the tux place help you!

Mens Wearhouse only had a dark yellow-ish ivory shirt, so FH is wearing a white shirt and ivory vest/tie. So he will match my dress but the white shirts will be consistent across groomsmen. If the place you're renting from has a light ivory, then you're good to go! But honestly, I don't think anyone will look at the bride on her wedding day and think her dress looks dirty!

We had the same dilemma. In the end, he wore ivory. We had no problems with clashing.
