Groom/mother dance

I don't think you HAVE to do anything on your wedding day. I think people will expect to see certain things, so it may raise a few eyebrows if they don't see it. If you can handle that then don't do it.

FMIL has been an ENORMOUS source of stress and PITA in general about our wedding. Not only to me but to FH. He is going to dance with her but has chosen a non-sappy song Keep it short and simple and it should be all good

FMIL refuses to do it because she's shy and was soo uncomfortable at her eldest son's wedding when she did. I don't want to make her uncomfortable and FH doesn't mind so we're opting out of that.

I think it's your choice.
