When is it traditionally served and how would you incorporate into the reception?

Re: groom's cake
usually the groom's cake is served at the rehersal dinner and it reflects one of your FH's hobbies...for example for my FH I'm thinking of doing either a cake in the shape of Shea Stadium or one in the shape of a roulette table - Vegas theme.

I LOVE the grooms cake idea. They are so much more fun that regular wedding cakes.

Re: groom's cake
I'm getting my FH a groom's cake and it will be served along with our chocolate fountain and wedding cake. I am going to have it on a seperate table next to our wedding cake. It's going to be of the Muhlenburg College mascott (where my FH went to college).
and it is going to be his favorite, dark chocolate with rasberry filling.
