Groom's Cake

Groom's Cake

My FMIL just called me. They are looking into a restaurant for the rehearsal dinner and were told that they do not allow outside cakes.

Has anyone ever heard of this?

I called my baker and they said that it doesn't sound right. She told me if they want I can fax over a certificate of insurance and then they should allow it.

I've always brought cakes to restaurants....is this something new?

Maybe they meant they have a fee for it? like a cutting fee?

Idk. She is looking at a restaurant in Amityville. She e-mailed me and said they are going out now to look at restaurants. She'll keep me posted. So, we'll see!!!
