I was gonna get a BMW or Ferrari Cake for FH during the RD....has anyone gotten any quotes for these speciality cakes? I have no idea what this might run me.

Re: Groom's Cake
i was told on average that specialty cakes start at $1,000 for 50 people but it depends on the complexity of the cake. however i was looking into places in manhattan since my rehearsal dinner will be in brooklyn. every place i called also said its too early to book for 2010. so don't get discouraged if places say that.

Re: Groom's Cake
I just called a few places....for a cake for about 30 people figure a few hundred dollars....somewhere around $400- $800 depending on complexity.

Re: Groom's Cake
This might be a dumb question - but, I was thinking about doing a small grooms cake as a surprise for FH. He is obsessed with cars - Porsches specifically - do bakeries really make cakes with themes like this? TIA!

Re: Groom's Cake
has anyone heard of hey-cookie in levittown? I saw that they already made a shea cake (What I want to get for my FH) and I wanted to know if anyone heard anything good or bad about them.

Re: Groom's Cake
If I do a hardwood flooring cake, (FH owns a flooring company) I want to write something in it, almost like the floor was sanded with saying. What should I say on it?
