Grooms cake

I thinking of surprising FH with this at the rd. Do you thik this is ok compared to having it at the wedding? I'm trying to keeo the cost down so by having it smaller i can still have it for him at a more reasonable price. Also who have you all used for grooms cakes? TIA!

Re: Grooms cake

Hey!! I'm doing a groom's cake as a surprise for FH! I'm giving it at the wedding though. I'm only having it made for 65 people though, so it's cost effective. I was going to use Audrey's Bakery, they gave me a great quote and were great, except that my RH didn't want me to use an outside baker, so they are making me the same cake, same price etc. I would definitely look into Audrey's, they were really great and helpful. I also think doing it at the RD is totally fine if that's what you want to do! Good luck!

I was thinking about doing this as well. So if you didn't contact Audrey's Bakery first do you think the royalton would have given you a higher price for it?
