What is a Grooms cake? When is it given to him?

The groom's cake is traditionally a dark cake, like chocolate or something, but you can make it in the groom's favorite flavors. It's usually shaped or decorated like something that represents his hobby or is job. I'm making a Harley cake for my FH, because he has a Harley motorcycle. You can serve the cake at the wedding, but it's most often served at the rehearsal dinner (where it doesn't have to compete with the Wedding Cake). It's also a tradition that if a single woman sleeps with a piece of the groom's cake under her pillow, she will dream of her future husband.

Have fun!
