Where have you ladies ordered your grooms cake from?
Also around how much do they run for?
I'm pretty broke so wondering if i could get something nice for at least $200, is that even possible.

Re: Grooms cake
You could try Audreys in sayville- which I've heard is good and have seen cakes from there on the computer that look nice. I got a price quote of 215. I also tried getting in touch with the Sugar Chic- some girls on here are using her and she gave me a lower quote I think of 160 or so for the same type of cake. Comparing the 2.... Audreys is more reliable for me because you can go there to check it out and I've heard their cakes are delicious.... but their delivery charge is $100!!!!!! While the Sugar Chic only charges $25 for delivery which is amazing!!! I keep going back and forth with this.... and I dont know what to do!!!
But to answer your question...yes a grooms cake for 200 is possible lol sorry for the long answer, but I just wanted you to get more insight about the 2 Im debating about lol

Re: Grooms cake
Mary says it depends on how many people you want it to feed and the specifics of the cake but she's very reasonable! pixiecakes.net

If you end up calling her for anything, tell her you're a friend of Chrissi's, I've known her for 20 years, I'm sure she'll take good care of you. (I just wish she'd update her website cause I keep sending people there!)

Re: Grooms cake
I worked with Cara Linn Cakes, Inc., her contact info is found on my wedding review. She did our wedding cake and it was gorgeous. The cake was delicious as well. Let her know your budget and she'll work with you.

Re: Grooms cake
Is a grooms cake a standard thing to do nowadays? Before this website, I had never seen it nor heard of it being done at a wedding.

I was told they usually run between $85-$130 but it depends on how many people it has to feed and the shape it's in. I don't think that's too bad considering we're paying an $80 upcharge just to make our included cake square instead of round!

No worries... The date I have on here is not my real wedding date.... but I just decided to go with Audreys tonight because I dont really know too much about her. Are you going to look into going with another bakery? Have you tried contacting Audreys to get a price quote? They are pretty good at emailing you back.

Some brides do it so that the groom won't feel like he didn't have anything special done for him during the wedding. It originated down South.

That's not bad at all. I would need it to feed around 15 ppl.

Re: Grooms cake
Who does the grooms cake feed aside from the groom? This is actually something neat that I would consider doing.
