Groom's cake

Is anyone or did anyone have their groom's cake at the reception instead of the RD?

I'm doing it at the reception and not at the RD, I would rather surprise FH at the wedding and see his expression in front of all of our guest

Hi!
Still not 100% sure if I am doing this but if I do I will be having it at the wedding as well! I'm thinking having them push the grooms cake out right after we cut our wedding cake.

i want to have it at the RH but we're already doing wedding cake and viennese table. i think we'll do it at the RD or scrap the whole idea ... even though i have the most perfect cake mentally picked out!

i though most people did it at the rh... i really wanted to do one but thought it would be lost with our wedding cake and extra desserts... doing it at the rd is a great idea!
