I'm possibly thinking of doing a grooms cake as a surprise for FH. However, I have no idea around how much they normally go for. Anyone have any ideas? I was thinking of literally doing an x-box cake type of thing. He would adore it, but let's see if the cake price adores my wallet lol

it really depends on how you want the cake. fondant v buttercream? what filling? how many its to feed? and where you get it. the pic on my profile i fell in love with but was quoted $3600 sorry not happening. but I went to another baker to see if they could replicate and she said it would be closer to $500, but not the firetruck (she would use a plastic truck)

for what i want to do I have gotten quotes from $200-$550. I still have to check out the bakery that is doing our wedding cake for a quote (I would prefer to use them so everything comes from one place)

I would love to do a Rangers themed cake w/ a Stanley Cup and all. Haven't started pricing it out yet but I'm sure it isn't going to be that cheap.

thats what I SAID!! i got the quote from the pink cake box which is like a ridiculously great bakery but i told her no effin way. I wasnt even paying that much for my reherseal dinner! let alone reherseal grooms cake

Hahah, this is why we are doing a joint wedding cake with the topper being a Terrapin and a Lady Leprauchaun instead of a Groom's cake.
