Has anyone priced them yet if so where and how much? You can FM if you feel more comfortable with that.
Also, what how many servings do you get a grooms cake for?
I really dont want to feed 100+ people his cake; that what the wedding cake for.
Sorry, I have many checks I am working on and I have soo many questions.
Thanks Ladies

Re: Grooms Cake?
I have not priced any grooms cake out yet, but from what I've read on here depending how elaborate you want it they can range from $100-$300.
I plan on having the grooms cake at our rehearsal dinner, so I will have it large enough to feed all attendees. I like the idea of having it at the wedding also, but I just feel like it will go to waste with the wedding cake and all.

Re: Grooms Cake?
I dont think I am having RD only because I am getting married at the Hall.

Re: Grooms Cake?
Michelle, same for me. We are getting married at the RH and I am thinking of a 'welcome dinner' the night before for OOT guests, close family, and the BP.
FH and I will be paying for it, so we will need to keep it low key but still nice. I figure the groom's cake can be served then as a surprise to FH.

Re: Grooms Cake?
I am still going to do a rehearsal dinner. There is no way I will feel comfortable practicing at JT half hour before. My guests will probably be there already. So I will do a make shift practice. Not sure how much a grooms cake cost, but I love the idea of doing it at the RD.

Re: Grooms Cake?
I definitely want to do a groom's cake as a surprise for FH. I will prob do it at the wedding. My RH makes our wedding cake for us onsite, so I am going to see if they can also do my groom's cake.

Re: Grooms Cake?
hey michelle!!!
we got married at the hall, and we did a little RD nothin fancy at all, we were at the hall for no joke like 20 min. but anyway we did the grooms cake at the wedding. We pretended to cut it so we could have the picture with it, and we had it the next day with family and friends.
DH cousin made it for us her gift to us so i dont know what she would charge, but contact her and tell her your family and hopefully she will give you the hook up.
Woo hoo! Just booked my groom's cake! An old friend from middle school is baker and is doing it for me at a great price! I can't wait. FH is going to be so excited at the RD.
