Re: Grooms Cake Anyone??
I am thinking about doing one for my groom but it's hard bc he isn't really into sports. But I would recommend using Benkert's Bakery in Centereach if you are in Suffolk! They are the best. I get all the bridal shower, baby shower etc cakes from there and they are SO delicous and they aren't overly expensive.

i am doing a sculpted hamburger cake with a side of potato chips. I am working with Ameila from Sweet Alchemy. She did amazing cupcakes for my sisters bridal shower, so i know the cake will be good!

Re: Grooms Cake Anyone??
DH LOVES jelly belly Jelly Beans so I ordered him a Giant Jelly Belly Jelly Bean cake in our wedding colors with matching real jelly beans all around the sides. He was SO surprised and he loved it! Since it wasn't too much 'building' per say...Rolling Pin Bakery gave me a terrific price!
I believe there's a pic in my review! HTH!

I am ordering my Grooms cake from Lady J's. Going to do a Mets cake. Something like the pic....
I am doing a yankees one FH is a die hard fan Does anyone know how much custom cakes like this run?
I also want something like the below bc it has the two tickets on it and for our first date he took me to a yankees game so it ties in
I got crazy quotes on my cake when i first started looking. Then i found Lady J. She has a FB page..Lady J's Cakes...check her out.
P.S. Im a die hard Yankee fan so the Met cake is killing me

Re: Grooms Cake Anyone??
My FH has been into the idea ever since he saw a groom's cake at my cousin's wedding for the first time -- for him, I'd probably get it in the shape of a ketchup bottle because he grew up putting it on EVERYTHING

I got my DH a cake from The Cake Gallery...I cannot say how awesome Tom was to work with and how awesome the cake was! DH and I met online so I got a computer mouse with 'Thanks for Clicking' written on it since that's what DH says to me each night before we go to sleep!

I'm getting my groom's cake from the Cake Gallery... Tom is really easy to work with and gives you options for what you are looking for and is honest about things to do for the cake.
Def call them!
