FH really loves NASCAR so I am going to surprise him at our RD with a grooms cake. I need a catchy phrase to write on it. I was thinking along the lines of ' We almost made it to the finish line' or something like that. Do any of you ladies have a better idea?

I think 'we almost made it' sounds like its not going to happen ..
Maybe something like ..
'You will always be first place in my heart'
