when you asked your friends to be your grromsman did you just ask or did you do something else? I am asking my friends to be my bridesmaids at out e-party with cards and a little gift I am making. FH said he will just ask them but I don't want the guys to sit there w/ nothing while all the girls get something. Any suggestions? TIA

Re: Groomsmen
just ask. no gift necessary when asked. we're giving our bridal party their gifts at the rehearsal dinner.

I just asked. You have to let your future husband ask in a way that makes him comfortable. It's O.K. if the girls get a gift, we are men we can handle it

I was thinking of using the cigars with a paper wrapped around it... Or, a friend of mine had suggested to give a handkercheif with their innitial on it for the wedding... They sell those everywhere...

Re: Groomsmen
I bought the Maids of Honor and the Best Men books that are cute and funny, but helpful because they tell them what they will need to do for the wedding. Also, we are handing out message in a bottle invites to be in the bridal party with sand and shells and a drink umbrella in them. My fiance was not crazy when I showed him the books. I made him write a note inside to make it personal. He thought they would get the wrong idea and be offended like they need help with their duties or something. I guess I just want to make sure people are well informed. I thought it was a good idea and it seemed to go over o.k.
