Groomsmen Gifts

Groomsmen Gifts

I'm in a bit on a conundrum. I have 12 groomsmen (I know it's a big number) and am in the market for a good groomsmens gift for all of them.

I noticed that most places offer flasks, money clips, or cuff links, but these guys aren't really into that sort of thing.

I need something unique, something offbeat / out of the ordinary.

I have debating on going the bestbuy giftcard route, but for some reason it seems like a cop-out.

Or maybe get each guy a different gift (with the best men getting a wee-bit better one)?

I have no clue, honestly. and I don't know the common etiquette when it comes to this sort of thing.

I want something kinda different too.. but, none of the guys are the same.

Are your guys drinkers?

What about a nice bottle of scotch??

I am getting my best man a nice 11.5g 500 clay poker chip set with a sweet aluminum case.

Not sure what I am getting the rest of the guys though.

Hello fellow Giorgio's bride!
I saw a really neat idea.... It's an engraved holder for cigars. Our GM love a good cigar, so my FH is going to get a couple good ones to give to them along with it.

What about golf lessons???

It is so hard-- GM gifts are so cliche.. We are having a hard time coming up with ours too.

Can you describe their personalities?? Collectively of course.

I just showed my FH a leather watch box from Home Decors magazine. A lot of his friends are into watches and they don't need another one but I thought the jewelry case was pretty neat. It has a clear glass top so you can showcase the watches.
Just an idea.
I do think the gift card is a great idea- No guy will be disappointed with that. Finally a gift they can actually use.

personalities:

the definitions of 'good guys'. all respectful towards others and honest. would give the skin off their back to help you.

they love to act like kids. never worry about what others think of them.

and most of them are single...

a consistent theme among all of them is nothing:
2 are accountants, 2 web designers, 4 are programmers/computer techs, 2 soon-to-be-doctors, 1 in sales, and 1 is a punk (a literal one).

But they all do LOVE music of all varieties, that's why I thought giftcard.

Do they all like the same music??

Like, all my FH's friends are into the Rads.. (radiators) they all go the shows together.. Can you get everyone tix to a show they's all like to see?

Check out the B B Kings web site.. All general admission shows with a variety of music acts.

I do like the best buy idea though.. FH wanted to register there : /

We bought our GM these leather toiletry bags which are monogramed. We then bought them gift certificates to their favorite store and put them inside. All the guys loved the leather toiletry bags. I understand that you want something different so did I, which is why I loved this idea. http://www.aclassytouchwedding.com/productdetails.asp?ProductID=82&location=attendantgifts

How about a Swatch for each that way you could match there tastes.

We're getting ours the Leatherman Wave tool and it can be engraved.

A friend recently received a set of 4 beer mugs and a book about beers of the world - he loved it.

How much are you spending on this? We're in the market for something like this too. Where are you getting it?

We got our groomsmen beer Steins, engraved, and filled (some of them) with stuff that was more personalized.

The mugs themselves were a steal, got them at the flea Market... It allowed me to get more creative for filling them!
