Groomsmen Issue

Groomsmen Issue

My friend is getting married in a few weeks, and just found out that her FH's groomsmen ALL decided to grow 80's porn mustaches for the wedding. She's not sure what to do because it would be funny, and most of the pictures are of the bride and groom anyway. But at the same time, she doesn't really want her wedding to be made into a joke.

What do you ladies think? It's tough because in 20 years she might look back and laugh, or she might get upset because she doesn't have nice bridal party photos. I'm not sure what to tell her because I'm on the fence about it too - part of me thinks it would be hysterical, and it's not like it's the groom, but what if you look back 25 years from now and regret having such idiot friends?

Advice? Opinions?

I would have them shave it for the wedding. Tell them they can wear it like that for the rehearsal dinner, take some fun pics, and then off with it that night!

She was actually considering this. I think she feels bad because she's usually really cool about everything, and honestly - if it weren't her own wedding she'd think it was great. The idea is funny, but not for her own wedding. She'll be happy to know she's not the only one that feels this way.

Thanks!

I'm actually pretty laid back too when it comes to these kind of things. But...I think weddings are formal occasions and everyone should look their best. Luckily for me, FH feels the same. His brother always grows a full beard in the fall/winter and FH (who doesn't like it) has already spoken to him about it.

I think it is very funny what they did...but just don't think it's appropriate for a formal affair!

Good luck!

Oh no, they would definitly be shaving. If they wanna do something silly like that then why not buy fake mustaches so that they dont have to make every picture a joke.

I think that they need to shave 'em off. Maybe if they want to invest in some hideous fake mustaches from a nice costume shop to take some silly pics at the end of the day...that would be funny and memorable...but real ones all day, I'm sorry, but this is DEFINITELY something not debatable. I would be losing it at the threat, much less seeing that they've actually grown the things!!

boys are bad.
