Groomsmen vs. Ushers

Groomsmen vs. Ushers

are they the same people, or do you need to have different people be the Ushers?

I thought that the groomsmen will escort certain people (close family) to their seats, and then they will stand up at the altar with the groom.

TIA!

(I posted on BHB too, but you ladies usually respond fast! I need it for a discussion with FH. haha)

Well the 4 weddings that FH was in this summer, he was a GM and an usher at the same time. He seated people when they came in, but then stood at the altar with the groom during the ceremony. HTH!

They can be the same or they can be different... like my brother is not in the BP (because he's not THAT close with my FH - we live in different cities) but we will probably ask him and my FH's godfather to be ushers...

oh boy. I have 11 groomsmen, but my older brothers told me they were 'too old' to be in our wedding lol they are both 40 and 41, so they are going to do readings, I might just have them walk down family members, so the groomsmen dont have to rush back!
