Groomsmen walking in?

For the processional: I was just wondering if you are having your groomsmen walk up the aisle as a pair with your bridesmaids, or are all the men filtering in from the side, and the bridesmaids walking up the aisle alone? I can't decide which I like better....

I'm doing it old skool!
FH and bestman at the alter, pairs/couples down the isle, FGs/RBs, MOH, me...

it works out nicely because 3/5 pairs in the bridal party are couples (married) one is my friend ris and my nephew and the other is my MOH and his bestman...

Ha! My FH wants us to walk into the reception to the football band music! He figures if he'll never get his day to run out onto a field to the music, he might as well to this...

It's nice that some of the pairs are natural couples in real life. We won't have that, which is why I'm thinking it may be silly to walk in as pairs. Ditto goes for entrance into the hall: should the girls and guys be announced as 2 separate groups, or each 'pairing' of BM and GM....

We will have our groomsmen paired up with the BMs. The best man will be up on the altar and the MOH will walk down alone.

As of right now I THINK it will go like this...

FH and his BM up front

Pairs down the aisle with the exception of two girls who will have to walk down with two guys... (we have 5 bridesmaids and 7 groomsmen)

The GM will be walking up the aisle. We're actually doing things a bit unorthodox but this is not a traditional wedding so it's all good!

I think I'm going to have the groomsmen walk with the bridesmaids and the best man will be at the alter with FH and the maid of honor will walk alone

None of my pairs were natural couples, and it worked just fine.
We even had an uneven #, and one of my girls walked with 2 guys.

For introductions into the hall - we skipped that, only DH and were announced. If you have a large BP, I would recommend doing pairs for the introduction if you want introductions. It can take a lonnnggg time if its a big BP one at a time, and I hate to say it, but I've been at weddings where people just weren't paying attention to the last few people if it was taking too long.
