Groomsmen...Ushers...

I COULD BE WRONG
but i think the ushers are the ones who walk the guests into church as they arrive

and groomsman stand with groom...

someone help..i think i am clueless too

Well I am making the Groomsmen do double duty they will be the ushers as well as groomsmen.

I've always called them ALL 'ushers'.

for my wedding the groomsman and ushers will be the SAME people

This is correct. Most weddings I've gone to they've used the GM as ushers though so you can do whatever you want.

I had GM and ushers b/c I have 2 brothers, my DH has one and a cousin plus a lot of friends - he didn't want to have too many GM for all of the other events and pictures, etc. So we made a couple of the guys ushers.
