Groomzilla????

He is so stressed with this wedding/marriage...
Yesterday was exactly a year that we were engaged and he was miserable, which made me miserable.
1. He is all nervous about buying a house! Hello...we are not even pre apporved yet. We are not going to get serious about house buying untill next year and he is convinced that we can only afford a shack``WHO CARES!!! Why worry now, lots can happen in a year...
2. He is nervous about his friends. I have mentioned before that one of my BM's is due to have a baby on the day of the wedding(His friend). Now if she does go into labor, there will be about 8 missing people from the wedding, which we still have to pay for. I know he is upset about this because many people have said to us (Including his Parents)that she should have backed out of the wedding a long time ago and blah blah blah. NOt to mention my parents will be stuck paying for all of these people who won't even be there.
So now he is miserable. Aren't the Brides suppose to be the nervous ones??
Ever hear of a Groomzilla???
UGGG, sorry about the vent. But Groomzilla is driving me NUTS!!!

I wish that FH would get more involved...but I bet that all men stress about the wedding...they just do it quieter than us

Well, it's natural for guys to worry about money (ie. houses).

As for the baby, only 10% of all babies are born on their due dates.

Re: Groomzilla????

my friend and bridesmaid is actually due to have her baby on my wedding day too - i told my banquet manager that to - and what we are doing at the harbor club is - the week before the wedding we are giving them a final head count and paying for that number - anyone i am not 100% sure about (like my Bridesmiad and her husband) - i am going to circle them on rthe seating chart and we do not pay for them at that meeting - instead the day of the wedding if they do come - then we pay for them - this way we will not have to pay for the no shows

maybe you can make this arrangement with your hall too!!!

Re: Groomzilla????

Well, my groom is not being horrible, but he is beginning to panic. I'm trying to keep any wedding talk to a minimum, because I can see it's stressing him. Large groups scare him--it's really a bit of a phobia for him, and though we have kept our wedding small, he's still nervous. I've asked him if getting married is scary to him, but he says it's the wedding.

I keep reminding him that the people we did invite are our closest family and friends, so only people he knows and loves will be around him, but he's still scared. I wish I could help him with this, but there's not much more I can do.

Thats a good idea, I will have to ask, but it might be like 6-8 people--My BM, her husband, her parents, his parents and their siblings (2) But I wll check. Thanks for the idea
