Gross Hotel Experience

When I was taking the bar exam this week, I stayed at the Best Western near the Javitz Center--the only hotel that is actually close by IMO. Bad enough that I was spending $200 a night for a Best Western but....

When I got to my hotel room, the first thing I did was take off the bed spread--you know they never clean those. But then, as I was sitting on the velux blanket, I noticed 2 spots on the blanket--they were white and crusty!!!

No joke, I started crying and told FH I wanted to come home. I couldn't take the pressure combined with my sketchy hotel.

Thanks so much for asking! The exam actually went pretty well. I was concerned about running out of time on the essay portion because I'm a little too verbose for my own good, but I actually finished 15 minutes early. The multiple choice were hard, but not impossible. My law school has a 95% pass rate, so I just keep telling myself I'd have to have done something pretty bad to be in that 5% I don't find out til November for sure though--seems a long way away.

Sounds like you did wonderful! Don't want to put the kabosh on it...but CONGRATS! At least Congrats for going through the torture! Where'd ya go to law school?

we stayed at a Wingate Inn in Richmond VA and there was mold all around the ventilation fan in teh bathroom...SO GROSS.....I'm thinking of e-mailing it to the corporate office b/c the manager on duty didn't offer me any compensation for it (but I felt bad cuz our dog wasn't supposed to be there, she was too big but no one had said anything to us when we checked in the night before!!)

we stayed at a Comfort Inn in Georgia...it was naaaasty. The whole room smelled like a urinal, there was hair in the bed, just totally gross. If I was not so exhausted by the time we got there I would have gone some place else. uck! On a better note, it sounds like you did great on the bar and that is awesome!!
