DH took Bama out in the wooded area across from our townhouses last night, just to let him run around and get some exercise.
Well, when DH got back he said that Bama ran off to go sniff something, and when DH went to see what it was, he found Bama eating a big pile of DOG POO!!!!
Bama has done this to me a couple of times too and I almost threw up. Sick! I've read that it's normal for dogs to eat poo, but still, I don't want any doggie kisses from Bama after that!

I read that cat poop is very high in protein, and dogs love that. It's like their own little doggy delicacy. Blech!

EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW Casey has been doing the same thing - I am not sure it is her poop she is eating though (We have raccoons in the woods behind us - plus there is a cat that lingers around as well). I almost threw up when she keeps bringing it over to me - like it is a prize! It is sooooo NOT a prize! I make her eat after I make her stop eating it - so it takes the freaking smell away!!!!

oh yuk! Where's the gag icon when you need it? I guess I'm just luck this hasn't happened to us with Golem yet - but reading these posts make me pay even more attention to him when he's sniffing around!

Casey does it too sometimes I can tell bc she has poopy breath
She also eats her throw up.....sometimes when I put her in the crate in the AM, she gets nervous and pukes...then re-eats it!

my dog used to do that too. supposedly, among german shepards, they were made to do it b/c of being tracked. gross, but also instinct.
