grr dang work!

So my job put me out on Administrative leave as of 3/15/10. They told me they weren't going to do that until 4/19/10. So it only lasts for 30 days which means my insurance will be up as of 4/15/10. I have to see the doc on 4/19 and am getting married on 4/25 so I could have just gotten on marcs insurance. What should I do?? We were talking and figure if it doesn't get sorted out by the nd of the week we may just go down to town hall to get a quick wedding done so I can have insurance for my appts. If I wasn't 6 1/2 months pregnant I wouldn't care but I have to see my docs... What would you ladies do?

I would change your Dr. appointment to either before the 15th or after your married. A few days either way shouldn't matter much.

I could but it's my high risk doctor so I like to make sure I see her when she says. she has the better Sonogram machine so if something is wrong, she can tell me right away. And I haven't seen her in almost 2 months. So, having to push it back a few weeks while waiting for insurance to kick in could be bad. We've already had some issues with the baby and I don't want to risk anymore

but what about foing it before the cut off date. I would call immediately to see if they can accommadate you before the 15th.

I swear this baby makes me retarded because honestly, the thought of moving it UP NEVER crossed my mind...

ugh this kid is sucking every ounce of intelligence out of me!

well I feel embarressed for not thinking of that.

THANKS!

I would definitely try to see her before the 15th then. You may not be able to have a 'quickie' wedding, sometimes it takes over a month to get an appointment at town hall, and by then you'll be married! If you have any pregnancy questions feel free to FM me...I have two of my own and have been there, was very high risk with my son.

I don't know - regardless of the appointment date I would be concerned about not being covered at all while pregnant. I would maybe consider paying for COBRA or HealthyNY for the month just to be safe.

You can probably apply for medicaid as well for pregnant ladies. I heard that it doesn't matter your financial situation when you are pregnant that every woman is entitled to insurance while they are pregnant. I am not sure about this but this is what I heard. You might want to check it out.
