They won't let me do streamer throws!!! Ugh. I'm so pissed. Can't do petals, seeds etc. Don't want to do bubbles or animal releases.
I like the ribbon wands... anyone know how to make them?? Or has anyone started selling them yet?
Or does anyone have a different idea???

my church only allows bubbles too, but shhh don't tell them I'm doing rose petals and heart shaped rice.
What about heart shaped rice? It breaks up when water hits them.

Why don't you offer to pay an independent cleaning person to clean the church after your wedding?

That is a great idea! I would have never come up with that in 100 years!! luckily i am allowed to throw bird seed!

I did. They told me the issue is not the cleanup. It's a 'liability' issue. They don't want to risk someone tripping, falling and then getting hurt. They claim that their insurance won't cover them if they allow the throwing of anything. Basically one person sued and ruined it for everyone.

Our church has a lot of restrictions but my preist said that if we do it that day, really what could they do (but shhh... he didn't tell us that). I'm still debating over what to do. I don't want to do bubbles because I'm afraid its going to stain the gowns.

I'm doing the wands. You can buy them for $1 each,,but that'll get too costly for me. I am making mine using a wood dowel and attaching marroon and ivory satin ribbon. I also got bells to attach to the top.
Oooh!!! I like the idea of attaching bells to them!! I might 'steal' that one!!
These are ribbon wands. I got the pics from Inyeager (she made these) on theknot.com and the last pic a got a long time ago from someone else on theknot.
