I need to vent. Okay, so my bachelorette party is on Saturday. One of my bridesmaids is coming to my apartment in Hoboken on Friday night to sleep over because all I know is that we have to leave early on Saturday morning.
I knew where my shower was WAY before my shower because I heard someone slip once and I never got that feeling of being surprised.
So I was thrilled that I didn't know anything about my Bach party - not even if it was on LI or NYC. One of my other bridesmaids just called me to RSVP to my rehearsal dinner and asked, 'Are you coming out here Friday or Saturday?'
I am REALLY disappointed. Now I know it is on Long Island. (I know I will have fun, and I know I would have found out eventually. That's not the point. I'm pissed.) I KNEW this was going to happen and that's why I was SO good about reminding anyone before they spoke about anything to me that I knew nothing, not even LI or NYC. It was so much fun being able to say I have NO clue where it is. GRRRRR. Watch your mouths, people, or just don't talk about it!!!!

Re: GRRR. SO disappointed!!!
I hate that when people open their mouths and spill the beans like Hello people we like a good surprise.

I'm sorry to hear that, but look at the bright side - you still have an awesome day to look forward to, and you don't know exactly what you're doing!

I had the same issue... sorta.
FMIL blabbed to JrBM about the BParty (even though JrBM wasn't invited), but never told JrBM it was a surprise, and being that she just turned 12 had no idea either. She ended up casually mentioning it to me when asking me if that was the shower... meanwhile telling me the WHOLE plan of my BParty.
I wanted to beat my FMIL with a crutch.

It does. but it happens all the time. I think people just forget and then say things. sometimes I remind pepole that I dont know about it. Once i just got up and walked away mid sentence. haha!!!
