Sorry this is kind of a vent and reach for help at the same time!!
FI bother built an apartment in his new house. My FI and I thought oh thats great maybe we will take it. FI brother says thats great its going to be really nice and you are family so I will give you a break. SO.. We go see the apartment on Sunday. It is the smallest two rooms I have ever seen, but we figure well if we can save for a house quicker we can make it work. The bigest problem is there is no closets none!! Well we start to discuss this with his brother and he says he wants $1000 a month for this little hole . Thats the family deal!!!
I am just so angry that his brother would ask for such a price. So if anyone knows of a nice one BR apartment for rent please let me know!! Thank you for listening!!

i wouldn't move there..... you need closet space. you can find something with closets for $1k a month.

stay away from renting from family anyway...leads to a pain in the head

We are from Farmingdale and Massapequa park so basically around here! I am willing to go a little more east or west. I have been looking the massapequa, levittown and wantagh areas so far.

Stay away from family and friends. My brother and his wife are renting from a friend and are being soooo taken advantage of after the fact. They can't do laundry anymore and they were just told they can't use the backyard this summer. They want out so bad it isn't even funny.
