GRRRR.... DB (slightly long)

3 of my BMs ordered their dresses and they said estimated arrival date was 3/3. I didn't stress when they didn't call, but today I called - the woman says 'they're in'.... I ask her how we go about scheduling a pick up and fitting for alterations - she says 'oh, your wedding is in may, you have to come in now, alterations is running a month turnaround time, let me transfer you'.

i wait on hold for 5 minutes, she comes back and says 'oh, you're still waiting for alterations?' and puts me back on hold for 5 more minutes - i finally hung up. i told the girls to take the dresses to their own tailor....

imagine they mess them up and we don't see the finished product until the week before the wedding!?!?!?!?

sorry, just had to vent!

It's okay, that's what we are here for. I agree, pick them up and go else where.

Thanks for this. I got my dress there. I will definately be taking it elsewhere for alterations!

you might be better off with a recommended tailor. definitely get it done earlier. when my best friend got married our dresses didn't come in until one week before the wedding and we were scrambling to get them done. One of the bridesmaids had to let out her dress and it ended up being WAY too big, so we did an emergency sew up of the dress after the RD and luckily it come out okay.
