we didn't want to go to far b/c we'd be having a lot of caars we wanted to keep it kind of in bklyn b/c we have ppl comming from li, si and nj.. all over the place..matteo's did cross my mind but my uncle owns a restaurant in queens not to far from there and i don't want to offend him by not going there( i don't want to go there)..

someone had said park place was closed..b/c that would be great b/c i live on east72nd & u

i just called lundy's and they have a buffet menu thats 30 something dollers and we'd have private room w/ tax and grat included..so fh and i will check this out tonight

i didn't realize how much of a deposit these people are asking.

I've eaten at Lundy's before...the food is great and the fish is super fresh. 30 something dollars pp is not bad at all. Do they have a private room to put u and your guests in?

Is the 30 something with open bar? How much down they want?

no the price is just w/ soda and coffee no bar.. thats one of the barganing tools

How many people are u having? 500 is the amount of a downpayment on a hall! They do want alot.

like 40-50 ppl.. nothing big.. i thought 500 was a kinda big number also but now that i'm tlaking to these two places they each said 500.. i guess thats the goining rate.. but i guess thats good for me.. get a big chunk paid for b4 i have no money

i really hope lundy's works out b/c it has a private room not expensive, and good food..

Park Place is closed but is suppose to reopen in April.
I heard that the owners are going through a divorce and had to close for legal issues and will reopen when everything is settled.


This is a great place. We had my mother 70th birthday there last year. (my uncle paid so not sure of the price) but the service and food was out of this world. There isn't a parking lot but as you know there is no problem what so ever finding parking there.

I can't believe this place slipped my mind.
What about the mill basin yacht club?
We always went to the christmas parties there when we were little and this past summer my friend has her baby shower there. I think she had like 60 people but i also think it was a little cramped. But anyway the place is nice.

What about Fiorentino's? I haven't been there personally but heard the food is top notch Fiorentino's

i believe in the bensonhurst bayridge area.....they have a sep party room....good luck!

Okay Sweetie, you know I don't know much about the area...but I can give in my two cents...and if its too far, since I don't know my way around..just disregard.

My FBIL had his RD and Colandrea's New Corners, I guess its Bensonhurst area because we did not drive far from Our Lady of Guadalupe. Anyhoo...the food was outstanding. We had family style platters of fried calamar, zuchhini, and other yummies. Salad, pasta, and then choice of three or four entrees. It was fantastic!! I think it was 29 a head and that included tea, soda water, FBIL did have an open bar, and I think it was ten a head.

Again, the food was fantastic and it was a very intimate setting.
